Royal Hold Diamonds: Crystal Portal — A Second Layer to the Treasury

Some sequels add a new coat of paint. Royal Hold Diamonds: Crystal Portal adds a whole new dimension — literally. Built on the foundation of the original Royal Hold Diamonds, this release keeps everything players already know and trust, then opens a door underneath it that wasn’t there before.

What Stayed the Same

Crystal Portal is a 3×3 grid with no base game paylines — every win comes through the Hold’n Win feature itself. The core mechanics carry over untouched from the original: Regular, Double, and Triple Diamonds, the Sticky Diamond that locks into place and waits for its moment, and Mystery Jackpot symbols capable of awarding Mini (10x), Minor (25x), or Major (75x) prizes. Land 3 Diamond-type symbols on the middle row and Hold’n Win kicks off with 3 respins, resetting to 3 every time a new symbol lands. Fill all 9 cells, and the Grand Jackpot pays out at 750x.

Volatility has shifted from High to Medium in this version — the base RTP sits at approximately 96.10%, giving the game a steadier, more accessible rhythm than its predecessor while keeping the reward ceiling intact.

What’s New: The Crown Stops Collecting

Here’s the actual twist. In the original Royal Hold Diamonds, the Crown symbol worked as a Collector — sweeping up Diamond values across the grid. In Crystal Portal, the Crown does something else entirely.

The Crown Portal symbol now lands as a Sticky symbol during Hold’n Win, carries no value of its own, and instead acts as a key. When resolution reaches a Crown in the sequence, it triggers something the original game never had: Portal Mode — a second, fully independent Hold’n Win feature, nested inside the first.

Stepping Through the Portal

Portal Mode opens on a completely empty 3×3 grid — nothing carries over from the main feature, and nothing from Portal Mode carries back. It runs on the same rules as the main Hold’n Win (3 respins, reset on hit) but with its own symbol pool: Diamonds, Sticky Diamonds, and Mystery Jackpots are all in play, though Crowns never appear inside a Portal — no recursion, no portal-within-a-portal.

Fill all 9 positions during Portal Mode, and instead of the standard Grand Jackpot, players walk away with the Crystal Grand — a separate, fixed reward valued at 200x Total Bet, entirely independent from the main game’s jackpot pool.

Multiple Crowns can appear in a single Hold’n Win, meaning Portal Mode can trigger more than once per bonus round — each one resolved in sequence before the main feature wraps up and pays out.

Visually, the Portal isn’t just a palette swap for the sake of it — it’s designed as its own “diamond dimension,” trading the original’s blue-purple-gold scheme for silver, cyan, and pale violet crystal tones, so players always know instantly which layer of the feature they’re in.

Buy Bonus, If You’d Rather Skip the Wait

Crystal Portal keeps both purchase options from the original lineup. Regular Hold’n Win launches the feature with a Double Diamond, a Sticky Diamond, and a Jackpot Diamond already on the grid. Ultra Hold’n Win goes further — a Triple Diamond, a Sticky Diamond, and a Jackpot Diamond, all guaranteed from the first spin, priced for players who want maximum winning potential from the jump.

As always, every win — base Hold’n Win, every Portal Mode, every jackpot — is capped at 1000x Total Bet. If a round hits that ceiling mid-feature, everything wraps immediately and the win locks at the cap.
